Join IXL Learning, a global leader in edtech, as a Software Developer Team Lead. In this role, you will lead the engineering efforts to design and develop tools and systems that simplify the setup of IXL for schools and districts. You will manage a team of talented engineers and provide hands-on technical and project leadership. This is a full-time position based in our Toronto, Ontario, Canada office.

Responsibilities

  • Lead engineering efforts, including project planning, work assignment, and status tracking.
  • Drive the development process for the team, including designing, coding, documenting, testing, debugging, and tuning.
  • Collaborate and communicate clearly across multiple development teams and work cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and QA.

Requirements

  • Passion for improving education through technology
  • Postgres, SQL, Data Architecture a plus
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Excellent programming skills in Java or other object-oriented language
