Coder as a Backend Engineer on the Enterprise Experience team. You'll build features that help large organizations run Coder in production with confidence.

Responsibilities

  • Your responsibilities will include building features end to end, writing database migrations, building observability and reporting features, ensuring security, investigating scalability bottlenecks, resolving backend issues, documenting your work, participating in code reviews, and joining the on-call rotation.
  • The tech stack includes Go, Postgres, Kubernetes, gRPC, Prometheus, Grafana, and GitHub Actions.

2+ years of professional software engineering experience

  • A self-motivated, analytical engineer who enjoys difficult technical challenges
  • Experience building or operating distributed systems at a meaningful scale
  • Experience investigating performance under real-world load, including debugging race conditions

Preferred

  • Professional experience writing and shipping Go

Curiosity about the latest developer tooling

  • Experience with major cloud providers, Kubernetes, and container orchestration
  • Experience with observability, audit, or security features in an enterprise product
