Senior Systems Engineer (Hedge Funds)

Join VAST Data, the data platform company for the AI era. As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will play a key role in our company's growth and the future of computing. You will assist customers with evaluations, benchmarks, system configurations, and installations, work closely with R&D Engineering, and demonstrate technical leadership in storage products and architectures. You will also help develop a dispersed group of system and field engineers and consult on building and managing a support organization.

Responsibilities

• Assisting customers with evaluations and benchmarks, system configurations, and system installations.
• Working closely with VAST R&D Engineering to define product requirements and usability, including the creation of product specification documents.
• Participating in the creation of sales strategy and tactics and taking ownership of technical responsibilities within customer accounts.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience supporting the sales of enterprise storage to large IT organizations
• Ability to perform in an unstructured environment

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Knowledge of virtualization, high-performance networking and enterprise security
• Preparation and/or delivery of technical product and architecture presentations to customers and trainees
• Understanding of classic unstructured data applications and next-generation analytics and web frameworks
