Senior Full Stack Engineer

Staffbase, an award-winning employee communications platform, as a Senior Full Stack Engineer. In this role, you will own the development of custom solutions from technical design through implementation, testing, and release.

Responsibilities

• You will work closely with stakeholders to define use cases and validate solutions, build across the stack, mentor mid-level engineers, and contribute to a cross-functional, agile setup.

• Mentoring von Mid-Level-Entwicklern und Unterstützung beim Aufbau von Struktur, Engineering-Standards und Best Practices.
• A strong focus on quality, clean code, testing, and continuous learning
• Strong frontend skills with React.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript, paired with solid backend experience (e.g. Kotlin, Java, or Node.js)

Requirements

• The ideal candidate has strong frontend and backend skills, experience mentoring less-experienced developers, and a focus on quality and continuous learning.
• Fluency in English and German is required.
• You understand and appreciate diversity and inclusivity in the workplace
• Comfort working directly with stakeholders — you can translate business needs into technical solutions and validate them afterward
• Experience mentoring or guiding less-experienced developers, and a knack for bringing structure to how a team works
• A self-starter who works well both independently and as part of a team
• Solid professional experience (typically 5+ years) as a fullstack developer, including working within engineering teams and owning solutions from concept to delivery
• Confidence working with REST APIs and SDKs, and integrating with external systems
• Fluent written and spoken English and German — both are required, as you’ll work closely with German-speaking stakeholders and customers in the region

Preferred

• A good understanding of REST and microservices architecture
