Staff Software Development Engineer in Test

Join our team as a Staff Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) in San Jose. You will lead System-Level and Infrastructure Testing, bridging physical hardware dependencies with containerized Kubernetes topologies and cloud edge environments.

• Your responsibilities will include building and maintaining end-to-end local test environments, architecting local Kubernetes clusters, profiling OS-level resource usage, and maintaining the San Jose lab environment.

• Lead System-Level and Infrastructure Testing, bridging physical hardware dependencies with containerized Kubernetes topologies and cloud edge environments.
• Build and maintain end-to-end local test environments, architect local Kubernetes clusters and cloud emulator harnesses for offline validation.
• Profile OS-level resource usage and run hardware-in-the-loop or local service-level automated suites, maintaining the physical/virtual lab environment.
• Deep hands-on experience with Kubernetes, container runtimes, and local cloud emulation (AWS/Azure)

Requirements

• 8+ years in system-level SDET, platform engineering, or embedded/infrastructure software testing
• Advanced programming skills in C++, Python, or Go with strong Linux internals, networking protocols (TCP/IP, sockets), and IPC knowledge
• Experience in managing physical or virtual lab testbeds, edge hardware topologies, or local hardware-software integration loops
