Veeam Data Cloud as a Platform Engineer. Your mission will be to provide a secure, reliable, and user-friendly platform for building, testing, deploying, and monitoring the VDC product. You will write and maintain code to automate public cloud infrastructure and the Internal Developer Platform, document system design and processes, and collaborate with a team of engineers. You will work with a modern technology stack and be part of an on-call rotation for product operations. Collaborate with a team of engineers to build the VDC platform using modern technology stack.

Document system design, configurations, processes, and decisions to support async, distributed team culture.

Responsibilities

  • Automate public cloud infrastructure and Internal Developer Platform.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly and implement those technologies in a pragmatic manner
  • Experience building and supporting enterprise SaaS products
  • Understanding and experience implementing secure design principles in the cloud

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in production operations for a SaaS (Software as a Service) or cloud service provider
  • A strong bias toward action and direct, frequent communication
  • Experience automating infrastructure through code using technologies such as Terraform or Pulumi
  • A university degree in a technical field
  • Understanding of the principles of operational excellence in a SaaS environment

Preferred

  • Possessing development skills in a high-level programming language like Typescript or Python
  • Experience working with Claude Code, Codex or similar
  • Experience with a breadth and depth of public cloud services
  • Experience with GitHub Actions
  • Experience with Azure
