Solutions Architect

MongoDB as a Solutions Architect, where you'll work with established customers running production applications. You'll engage with customers across multiple EMEA markets, optimizing production architectures, engineering for resilience and scale, and shaping future-state architecture.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in software engineering, solutions architecture, or technical consulting, and a strong understanding of database technologies and modern application architectures.

Responsibilities

• You'll lead technical discovery and design, improve how customers build and operate, and build trusted technical relationships.
• Analyze MongoDB workloads, query execution, indexing, data models, cluster configurations, and resource utilization to identify performance bottlenecks and scalability constraints.
• Lead technical discovery and design by engaging developers, architects, and engineering leaders to investigate complex challenges, analyze technical evidence, and develop actionable recommendations.

Requirements

• We value architects who look beyond the immediate problem, investigate underlying causes, challenge assumptions, and bring informed technical perspectives to customer conversations
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, solutions architecture, technical consulting, or related technical roles, including customer-facing technical engagement
• Ability to engage confidently with developers, architects, and technical leaders, translating complex technical findings into clear recommendations
• Working knowledge of cloud infrastructure and application architectures on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• 2+ years of professional programming or scripting experience using languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript/Node.js, C#, C++, or SQL
• Practical experience investigating technical issues, analyzing performance, and evaluating architectural trade-offs
• Intellectual curiosity, strong problem-solving skills, initiative, and the ability to independently drive technical engagements
• Strong understanding of database technologies, distributed systems, modern application architectures, and high availability
• Experience with MongoDB, Atlas, NoSQL, or relational database technologies
• Exposure to Kubernetes, Kafka, microservices, APIs, event-driven architectures, or application modernization
• Familiarity with query optimization, indexing, data modeling, replication, and database scaling
• Understanding of AI application patterns, Vector Search, RAG, or agentic systems
