Senior iOS Engineer

Join our Growth Retention & Monetization team as a Senior iOS Engineer. You will be the technical owner for the Everand and Scribd apps, leading subscription, paywall, and retention features that drive revenue. You will build in-app purchase flows, ship A/B experiments, and improve app stability while mentoring other engineers. This role directly impacts our 2 million subscribers and ties to revenue and retention.

Responsibilities

• API Integration: RESTful APIs, JSON, GraphQL
• Payments: StoreKit and StoreKit 2, App Store subscriptions

Requirements

• Comfort working in a mature codebase that still has Objective-C
• Strong proficiency in Swift, with deep experience in SwiftUI and UIKit
• A track record of addressing technical debt and migrating code to newer technologies without slowing delivery
• Experience designing, building, and consuming APIs (REST, GraphQL a plus)
• Excellent communication skills and ability to lead technical initiatives in a collaborative environment
• Testing: XCTest, XCUITest (or similar)
• Tooling: Xcode, Git, and iOS CI/CD

Secondary: Objective-C

• Experience with experimentation platforms (Statsig or similar) and product analytics
• Familiarity with web technologies (JavaScript, JSON, REST) or backend frameworks such as Ruby on Rails, to support cross-stack collaboration
• Exposure to Auth0 or similar authentication frameworks
• Interest in cross-platform collaboration with Android and web teams

Preferred

• Primary: Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit
• Experience with subscription systems, payments, or retention features such as paywalls, trials, cancellation and save flows, or win-back
