Engineering Lead (AI Enablement)

Raisin, a leading fintech company, as an Engineering Lead (AI Enablement). In this role, you will lead the team responsible for building Raisin's internal AI platform and driving AI-assisted engineering practices. You will be accountable for the team's delivery, growth, and maintaining user trust in the AI platform. You will also work closely with technology, hire and develop engineers, and create an environment of trust and continuous learning. Additionally, you will own end-to-end delivery, manage the cost of AI usage and tooling, and help engineering teams across Raisin adopt AI in their work.

Responsibilities

• Drive the company's AI-assisted engineering practices, turning the AI strategy into actionable goals and a roadmap for the team.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to understand their needs and prioritize platform features and improvements.
• A practical understanding of modern AI integration, such as LLM APIs, AI coding assistants, and agentic workflows, deep enough to evaluate technical decisions and challenge the team. You use AI tools in your own work
• Experience leading a team that builds for internal customers, such as a platform, developer tooling, or shared services used by other engineers

Requirements

• 7+ years in software engineering overall, with a background in backend, platform, infrastructure, or developer tooling
• 3+ years leading engineers as an Engineering Manager, Engineering Lead, or Team Lead, including hiring and performance management
• Clear communication with engineers, product, and business stakeholders, and fluency in English
• A track record of delivering production systems that other teams depend on, including ownership of their reliability

Preferred

Experience leading distributed or hybrid teams

• You have driven adoption of new tools or practices across an engineering organisation
• Experience with AI platform topics such as model access, governance, observability, rate limiting, or cost management
• Experience in a regulated industry such as banking or fintech
