Hardware Test Engineer

Join our fast-moving startup as a Hardware Test Engineer, where you will validate the performance of our autonomous rail vehicles and subsystems. You will work closely with other engineers to derive test requirements and develop the corresponding test infrastructure and processes. Your passion for autonomous vehicle development will drive you to solve challenging problems and contribute to the company's direction.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain test solutions for in-house developed electronics components and systems, including building and maintaining test benches.
• Define and develop test cases using Python, produce documentation for testing including test plans, work instructions, design drawings, and test reports.
• Support testing and data analysis to identify and root-cause issues, test vehicles at Parallel test facilities and customer sites.
• Experience using common test equipment such as power supplies, DAQs, DMMs, and oscilloscopes
• Experience with soldering, crimping and use of other hand tools for electronics integration and repair
• Experience in power electronics testing including power converters, battery chargers, and motor controllers

Requirements

Proficient in interpreting electronics schematics and wiring diagrams

• 3+ years of experience with hardware development or electronics test engineering
• Experience with software development, in Python, C, C++, Rust or similar language
• BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a similar discipline
• Experience with optics calibration and testing

Experience with environmental testing, e.g., MIL-STD-810, IEC 60068

• Experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing or hardware validation/acceptance testing
• Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a similar Engineering discipline
• 5+ years of experience with hardware development or electronics test engineering
