Software Engineer (Internship · AMER)

Join MongoDB as a Software Engineer Intern for a 12-week summer internship. Collaborate with full-time engineers and cross-functional teams, learn development best practices, and gain practical software engineering experience. Interns will work on production-level code and make lasting contributions to MongoDB's products and services. This is a full-time, hybrid position requiring 3-5 days in the office each week. Candidates must be pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a related field and have a foundation in computer science theory.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with full-time engineers and cross-functional teammates to learn development standard methodologies and gain practical software engineering experience.
• Integrate into software engineering teams across the Product and Technology organization, pushing production-level code and making lasting contributions.

Requirements

• Participate in a 12-week internship program, working full-time and gaining hands-on experience in software engineering.
• Fluent in any one of the following programming languages: Java, Python, Go, C++, JavaScript, Node.js—or a comparable object-oriented programming language
• In the process of receiving a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Have a foundation in computer science theory, with proficiencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design
• Have a minimum of one quarter/semester remaining in university studies after the internship concludes. Graduation date in Fall 2027, Spring 2028, Summer 2028, Fall 2028, Spring 2029, or Summer 2029
