Associate Security Engineer

Responsibilities

• Assisting in the implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of security tools and technologies to protect information systems.
• Supporting the investigation of security alerts and incidents, and collaborating with the Security Operations Centre and Digital Forensics teams.
• Participating in the development and adoption of cyber and information security technology, processes, policies, and best practices.

Requirements

• Experience in an IT, infrastructure, service desk, cloud, security operations or information security role
• Knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID / Azure, Microsoft Defender 365, Microsoft Defender XDR, Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Intune or VMware
• Awareness of privileged access management, endpoint security, incident response, AWS security, mobile device security, Windows or Linux environments is desirable
• Awareness of security frameworks and standards such as NIST, CIS Controls, Cyber Essentials or ISO 27001

Preferred

• Security-related certifications or learning pathways, such as Security+, Microsoft SC-900 or AZ-900
