Backend Engineer

Join our platform team as a Backend Engineer and help build the cloud platform for M3, our next-generation aircraft. In this hands-on role, you will build and maintain backend services and APIs, extend data pipelines, and collaborate with various teams. You should have experience with cloud infrastructure, containers, CI/CD, and backend proficiency in Node.js/TypeScript.

Responsibilities

• Construire et maintenir des services backend et des API qui intègrent l'avion M3 dans les opérations de livraison.
• Construire et étendre les pipelines de données qui ingèrent et traitent les données de vol, de véhicule et de télémétrie de M3.
• Participer activement à la révision de code, écrire du code bien testé, observable et maintenable, et aider à l'exploitation de ce que vous construisez.

Requirements

Working experience with cloud infrastructure, containers, and CI/CD

• Solid fundamentals in API design, relational databases, and data modeling
• Backend proficiency in Node.js/TypeScript, or in a comparable modern language with the ability to ramp up quickly
• Strong debugging instincts and a sense of ownership for code running in production
• 3+ years building and operating production backend systems
• Clear communication and an eagerness to seek out and apply feedback
• Experience building with NestJS
• Familiarity with event streaming or real-time messaging

Preferred

• Experience with fleet management, IoT/telemetry, or robotics systems
• Exposure to hardware-software integration or new device bring-up
• Experience using AI coding assistants to accelerate development
• UAV, aerospace, logistics, or other operationally critical domain experience
