Responsibilities

• The instructor primarily supports the Paramedic Program but may also teach selected content within the EMT Program as assigned.
• Responsibilities include delivery of educational content, student evaluation, examination development, and supporting student success and National Registry preparation.
• Teach assigned didactic content
• Participate in laboratory and simulation activities
• Develop and update instructional materials
• Assist with exam creation and review
• Maintain academic records
• Participate in faculty meetings
• Support accreditation and program quality initiatives
• Mentor students and provide remediation when needed
• Serve as a professional role model and advocate for evidence-based EMS practice.

Requirements

• Illinois Paramedic or Registered Nurse License in good standing
• Illinois EMS Lead Instructor Minimum 3 years of EMS experience
• Strong instructional and communication skills
• Availability to teach on Mondays, Wednesdays, or Fridays, with a minimum commitment of one instructional day per week.

Preferred

• NREMT Certification Prior Paramedic Program teaching experience

The expected pay for this position is listed below: $27.99 - $34.99 The final pay rate offered may be more than the posted range based on several factors including but not limited to: licensure, certifications, work experience, education, knowledge, demonstrated abilities, internal equity, market data, and more.
