Solutions Architect

Join MongoDB as a Solutions Architect in our Pre-Sales organization. You will guide customers in designing and building scalable systems using our data platform, collaborate with the sales team, and foster strong customer relationships. This role requires a minimum of 2 years of experience with modern scripting languages, experience implementing scalable distributed systems, and fluency in German.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect scalable and performant applications, systems, and infrastructure for large software projects leveraging MongoDB.
• Guide customers on architecture patterns and optimization strategies for MongoDB, while clearly communicating its business value to the relevant stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the sales team to drive account success through account planning, opportunity prioritization/qualification, and pipeline generation strategy.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical and business concepts in a clear and compelling manner to technology and business leadership

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to work with customers to review complex architecture of existing applications, providing guidance on how to improve by leveraging technology
• Minimum of 2 years experience with modern scripting languages (e.g. Python, Node.js, SQL) and/or popular programming languages (e.g. C, C++, Java, C#) in a professional capacity
• Experience implementing scalable and highly available distributed systems in the cloud and on-premises
• 5 to 8 years of related industry experience, ideally including 2 years in a customer-facing role
• Fluency in German is required
• Ability to work with a cross-functional sales team to formulate and execute an end-to-end deal cycle
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• Ability to travel up to 25%

Experience working in a technical pre-sales capacity

• Experience developing, deploying, or supporting applications with any of the major cloud providers
• Understanding of popular sales methodologies/frameworks such as MEDDPICC/Command of the Message
• Cloud Provider Certification
• Experience with database programming and data models

• MongoDB Certification
• Experience in data engineering or AI/ML projects
