Join our team as a Platform Software Engineer, where you will design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software programs for high-performance networking and security systems. You will work independently, providing technical guidance and coordinating with team members and cross-functional partners.

Responsibilities

  • Your responsibilities will include developing software for operating systems, network subsystems, routing engines, security modules, utilities, embedded platforms, and Internet-related tools.
  • You will also analyze design requirements, define coding and integration activities, and contribute to architectural reviews.
  • Additionally, you will collaborate with hardware, QA, system test, and customer-facing teams to deliver robust, cost-effective software solutions.
  • Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software programs for enhancements and new products in high-performance networking and security systems.

  • Analyze design requirements, define coding and integration activities, and contribute to architectural reviews.

Requirements

  • Master or PhD degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Systems
  • 5-8 years of experience in networking, embedded systems, or high-performance security platforms
  • Experience with Unix/Linux environments and hardware–software integration
  • Ability to collaborate effectively, mentor others, and contribute to a high-performance engineering culture
  • Preferred: Experience with Link Layer protocols such as LACP, LLDP, EAPOL, etc
  • Strong understanding of OS internals, virtualization, computer architecture, and system-level debugging
  • Preferred: Experience with Broadcom and/or Marvell SDKs for switching or network-interface subsystems
  • Knowledge of software testing methodologies, including test plan execution and debugging tools
  • Preferred: Knowledge of AI/ML techniques for predicting potential software or hardware errors
  • Experience developing software for multi-core embedded platforms, including network interfaces, protocol handling, and security processing
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to present design proposals and negotiate design decisions
  • Strong programming skills in C/C++ and Python

Preferred

  • Preferred: Experience with AI tools for coding assistance (e.g., Copilot) and intelligent debugging
  • Strong experience working with switches, routers, and security systems
