Staff Software Engineer, User Targeting

Join Braze, a leading customer engagement platform, as a Staff Software Engineer on the User Targeting team. In this role, you will architect and build large-scale systems, own the product, mentor and influence other engineers, collaborate cross-functionally, innovate and optimize, and maintain and evolve operational procedures. You should have extensive software engineering experience, a proven track record of delivering customer-facing products at scale, and strong fundamentals in software design, data structures, and algorithms.

Responsibilities

• Conceive, design, and implement large-scale systems and services that handle massive data volumes and complex workloads in real time.
• Partner with product to define what gets built and why, then keep improving it after launch as you learn how customers actually use it.
• Take ownership of the complex backend systems behind Braze segmentation, continuously improving their performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
