Join our team as a Senior Accountant for our e-commerce platform. In this contract position, you will be responsible for full-cycle accounting, including inventory, sales, cost of goods sold, accounts receivable, cash, refunds, credits, and related balance sheet accounts. You will collaborate with various teams to resolve reconciliation and system-integration issues and participate in system implementations and user acceptance testing. A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and 2-6 years of accounting experience are required. Experience with SAP and e-commerce platforms is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support full-cycle accounting for the online store, including customer orders, inventory movement, revenue, cost of goods sold, accounts receivable, cash application, refunds, and financial reporting.
  • Partner with various departments to resolve reconciliation and system-integration issues involving e-commerce, order management, inventory, payment, and SAP platforms.
  • Perform monthly and quarterly close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analysis, and review of transaction completeness and accuracy.
  • Experience working with e-commerce platforms, order management systems, warehouse/inventory systems, payment processors, or system integrations is a plus
  • Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, month-end close, inventory accounting, revenue, accounts receivable, and cash

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Approximately 2–6 years of accounting experience, preferably including inventory, revenue, order-to-cash, e-commerce, retail, or consumer product accounting
  • Ability to understand end-to-end transaction flows and translate operational or system issues into accounting impacts
  • Strong Excel and data analysis skills, with the ability to work through large transaction populations and identify exceptions

Preferred

  • Experience with SAP strongly preferred; experience with other large ERP systems is also valuable
