Software Engineer II, User Targeting

Join Braze, a leading customer engagement platform, as a Software Engineer II on the User Targeting team. In this role, you will design and build features for a high-scale segmentation system, work with data at scale, collaborate cross-functionally, and maintain and evolve the system. You should have 2+ years of professional experience in software engineering, a solid understanding of software design and data structures, and experience with SQL and at least one production database.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement features across the Ruby on Rails backend and React frontend, from design review through production rollout.
• Take ownership of medium-sized projects, break down the work, set delivery dates, and hit them.
• Write and tune queries against MongoDB and ClickHouse, and learn how segmentation performance and cost change with data volume.
