Application Engineer

Join Snap Inc. as a Full Stack Application Engineer in the Finance Technology team. In this end-to-end engineering role, you will design, build, test, deploy, and operate secure, scalable web applications and services used by Finance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Operations teams. You will own features across the full stack, develop reliable integrations among various platforms, and improve system performance and resilience. Responsibilities

• Develop reliable integrations among ERP, MRP, MES, PLM, warehouse, procurement, finance, and analytics platforms using APIs, events, and batch processing at Scale.
• Partner with product managers and business stakeholders to understand processes, challenge assumptions, define requirements, and deliver measurable outcomes.

Requirements

• The ideal candidate combines strong full-stack engineering skills with an understanding of enterprise systems, data integrity, and finance or manufacturing workflows
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across engineering and non-engineering teams
• A practical ownership mindset: you simplify complexity, make sound tradeoffs, and follow through on reliability and user outcomes
• Strong experience developing backend services and APIs using one or more languages such as Java, Python, Go, or Node.js and the ability to learn our stack quickly
• Ability to translate ambiguous business needs into clear product, functional, and technical requirements
• Sound understanding of application architecture, object-oriented and domain-driven design, distributed systems, and common integration patterns
• Strong full-stack development skills using JavaScript or TypeScript and at least one modern front-end framework such as React, Angular, or Vue
• 4+ years of full-stack application or software engineering experience after earning a bachelor’s degree; a master’s degree in a technical field plus 3+ years of post-graduate full-stack engineering experience; or a PhD in a relevant technical field
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• Hands-on experience with a modern front-end framework, back-end services, relational databases, and system integrations
• Professional experience building, shipping, and supporting production-grade, end-to-end web applications
• Experience with finance, ERP, MRP, MES, PLM, warehouse management, procurement, or supply-chain applications
• Experience building auditable systems in a controlled environment, including segregation of duties and SOX-aligned controls
• Passion for Snap products and for building tools that help teams do their best work

• Interest in using automation and AI-assisted capabilities responsibly to improve business workflows and engineering productivity
