Senior Systems Engineer (Development)

Join an innovative company as a Senior Systems Engineer. In this multidisciplinary role, you will work closely with a talented engineering team and focus on typical Systems Engineering responsibilities such as requirements definition and management, system architecture, system analysis, and change management. You will also be a key stakeholder in integration, verification, and validation planning and execution. The ideal candidate will have experience with full lifecycle system development, a BS or MS degree in a relevant field, and a minimum of 5 years of industry experience.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Experience working with Systems Engineering tools for Requirements Management and Product Lifecycle Management (e.g. JAMA, Polarion, DOORS)
• Demonstrated experience contributing to the establishment of a technical baseline of a system/product
• Ability to identify gaps, prioritize in the context of the project/program, and lead an effort involving multiple engineers from other teams to resolve issues

Experience working with MBSE (e.g. SparxEA, Capella)

• BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace, or a similar field
• Experience working with Git/GitHub, or similar version control systems
• Minimum 5 years industry experience (or minimum 3 years of experience with an MS degree), preferably with experience spanning the entire product lifecycle (Concept to Delivery)
• Experience with Python development or other similar object-oriented languages

Experience working in System Safety and Reliability Engineering

• Good written and oral communication skills; not afraid to speak up, either to ask for help or disagree on a technical point that warrants more discussion
• Collaborative; capable of working across all levels of the organization
• Ability to anticipate and communicate blockers, delays, and cost ballooning within the project before they require escalation
• Organized, comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
• Focused, with perspective on what matters most, rapidly delivering customer value

Preferred

• Experience working with RF systems (e.g. radar, comms, EW, etc.), preferably including phased arrays
