Software Engineer (Hippocampus)

Join Neuralink as a Software Engineer on the Hippocampus Software Team. You will take end-to-end ownership of software development projects, gather requirements, design solutions, and deliver exceptional software. You will work closely with stakeholders, participate in design and code reviews, and collaborate with cross-disciplinary team members. The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience, a strong background in software engineering, and experience leading teams to deliver impactful products.

Responsibilities

• Take end-to-end ownership of software development projects, including full-stack development and data engineering work.
• Gather requirements in ambiguous problem spaces and design elegant solutions, participating in design and code reviews.

Requirements

• Work directly and iteratively with stakeholders to grow MVPs into mature solutions, delivering results and ensuring user experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent demonstrated work experience
• Evidence of exceptional ability in software engineering

Experience understanding requirements and delivering iteratively

• Most important: You must have led a team to deliver a product or feature that had a clear impact
• A strong eye for user experience and polished user interfaces
• 1-2 years of experience leading teams and owning the success of a product
