Software Engineer (HIL)

Join Neuralink, a pioneering company in brain-computer interface technology. As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for owning the Hardware In the Loop (HIL) test system for our next generation surgical robot. Your work will enable unattended test and verification, helping to deliver reliable surgical robots at scale. You will build and maintain the robot HIL, write automated tests, define criteria, and own release-gating tests. The ideal candidate will have strong Rust skills, experience with HIL and system-level verification, and a passion for repeatability and traceability.

Responsibilities

• Posséder et maintenir le système de test Hardware In the Loop (HIL) du robot chirurgical, en automatisant la vérification et en reproduisant les défauts.

• Effective at using AI agents to accelerate work while maintaining quality
• Strong Rust skills; Python for test tooling and analysis. Comfortable close to drivers, firmware, and buses
• Experience debugging async and concurrent systems, RPC, telemetry, and timing failures across software and firmware
• Experience with HIL, test rigs, or system-level verification on robots, vehicles, or similar hardware
• Obsession with repeatability, edge cases, and traceability

Requirements

• Experience building automated test pipelines. Bazel experience is a plus
