Software Engineer (Medical Imaging)

Neuralink as a Medical Imaging Software Engineer, where you will develop tools for precise placement of the Neuralink implant and its electrodes. You will manage the end-to-end pipeline of medical imaging data, from ingestion to navigation during surgery. Your responsibilities will include importing and manipulating 3D medical imaging datasets, building applications to manage large amounts of medical image data, and developing a system to pass preoperative medical images to the surgical robot. You should have a Bachelor's degree in a technical field, experience coding in Python, Rust, and/or JavaScript, and knowledge of medical imaging formats.

Responsibilities

• Développer des outils pour la placement précis de l'implant Neuralink et de ses électrodes.

Requirements

• Understanding of how systems work at a fundamental level

Practical proficiency in linear algebra

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, etc.) OR equivalent practical experience
• Evidence of exceptional ability in engineering or computer science
• Proven track record of shipping software with real-world impact

Preferred

• Experience coding in Python, Rust, and/or, JavaScript
• Experience manipulating and visualizing 3D objects (e.g., game development, VR/AR, medical imaging)
• Experience with infrastructure development
• Experience working with protected health information
• Knowledge of container management and orchestration
• Experience with medical imaging formats, such as DICOM and NIfTI
