Automotive Testing Technician

This is a Temp/Contract position up to 9 months. Performs vehicle communication systems testing, logging test coverage and product defects.

Responsibilities

• This testing activity may take place in the field (at Independent Shops, Auto Dealerships and Auto Auctions) or in house dependent on the requirement of the project.
• KEY TASKS Perform in-field vehicle application testing for new products / primaries.
• Daily recording of test details on standardized forms dependent on project.
• Daily updating test matrices with tested vehicle information.
• Daily data entry into bug tracking program.
• Taking recordings of vehicle data when required by the project.
• Escalating serious problems to appropriate management.
• Interacting with in-house Applications and Engineering to explain details of problems found (when needed).
• Maintaining good working relationships with field test sites.
• Identifying additional test sites when possible.

Requirements

• Recent automotive diagnostic experience using scan tools · Experience with computer data entry · Good written and verbal communication skills · Experience using basic word processing and spreadsheet software · Basic computer user knowledge

Preferred

• AA degree in Automotive Technology · 5 year experience as an automotive repair technician · Database data entry experience and general database knowledge · Automotive diagnostic software development or testing
• This is a Temp/Contract position up to 9 months.

Pay

This position has an hourly rate between $30.00 - $38.00 “Actual compensation may vary based on experience and other factors"
