Senior Data Engineer

Join our team as a Senior Data Engineer, where you'll take ownership of our data platform, ensuring reliability and trust in our data. You'll be responsible for bringing data in from various sources, cleaning it, modeling it, and making it accessible for others to use. You'll also play a key role in our data architecture decisions and act as a bridge with our platform team. Responsibilities

• Conception, design, operation, and improvement of the data platform, including pipelines, Airflow environment, dbt, and Redshift warehouse.
• Ensuring reliability and trust in the data by identifying and resolving issues in data pipelines and implementing preventive measures.
• Bringing data in from various sources, cleaning it, modeling it, and making it easy for others to use, while also making architectural decisions regarding data storage and processing.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of AWS and a cloud data warehouse (we use Redshift)

Good instincts for warehouse and system design

• 4+ years in data engineering, analytics engineering, or a closely related role, including at least 2 years at a company operating at meaningful scale
• Strong SQL and Python, with Python used for data processing and pipeline work
• The ability to turn a stakeholder's requirements into code and systems, and to explain your decisions clearly
• Hands-on experience with dbt and with orchestrating production pipelines (Airflow or similar)
• Experience moving pipelines onto Airflow or a similar orchestrator

Preferred

• Experience in fintech, wealth management, or other regulated environments (compliance, audit, PII handling)
• Experience with document processing or AI/ML data pipelines
