Principal Developer

Join AutoRek, a leading provider of financial management solutions. As a Principal Developer, you will play a key role in delivering our solutions to a global client base. You will support a team of developers, drive best practices, and oversee the implementation and testing of our core financial management solution. You will also have the opportunity to work with a variety of technologies, including MS SQL, SSRS/Power BI, and low-code configuration tools.

Responsibilities

• Support a team of Senior, L2, and L1 Developers in their development and goals, providing individual team members with guidance.
• Drive and develop best practices in software development, ensuring adherence to individual and team planned efforts.
• Act as first line of escalation outside of project for technical issues, leading peer reviews and overseeing the build effort.
• We’re looking for proactive, hands-on Principal Developer to join our team
• Ownership of & adherence to individual and team planned efforts
• Strong time management and recording skills

Requirements

• Strong understanding of developing personal development plans, goals, and objective setting
• Proven experience delivering configuration/code on time and within budget
• Line management of small teams
• Strong MS SQL, data querying & data manipulation

Experience acting as a technical lead on projects

• Strong understanding of the Change Control Process to identify any movement of agreed scope
• Strong understanding of the phases of the software development and implementation lifecycle

Preferred

• Industry based reconciliation development or other reconciliation software tool experience
• FinTech, SaaS, or Finance background
