Staff Operations Engineer

Mozilla as a Staff Operations Engineer, where you will lead the design, reliability, and evolution of hybrid-cloud and workplace infrastructure. In this senior role, you will drive complex initiatives, set technical direction, and ensure systems are scalable, secure, and efficient. You will own and evolve architecture within a defined infrastructure domain, design and implement scalable, reliable systems, and establish best practices within the domain.

Responsibilities

• You will also contribute to medium- and long-term technical strategy, lead delivery of high-impact infrastructure projects, and drive improvements in performance, scalability, and dependability.

Requirements

• Solid expertise in:
• Linux/Unix Operating Systems
• VMware
• 6+ years of experience in systems engineering or infrastructure roles
• Strong experience designing and operating production infrastructure
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical work across teams
• Exposure to security best practices in infrastructure design
• Python
• Puppet/Ansible/etc

Preferred

• Experience with containerization and modern platform tooling
• Familiarity with observability tooling and reliability practices
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code
