Senior Contract Software Engineer (C++ / JavaScript, Firefox (Browser Engine))

Join Mozilla as a Senior Contract Software Engineer, where you will work with the Firefox DOM Core team to improve the Session History area. Your responsibilities will include writing tests to improve coverage, fixing tests and problems to enhance Gecko correctness, and collaborating with relevant Gecko module owners through code review. Responsibilities

• Contribuer à l'amélioration de la couverture des tests et de la correction du code dans la zone de l'historique des sessions de Firefox.

Requirements

Strong debugging skills in a mature larget codebase

• Substantial experience in a browser-engine codebase or in automating for a browser-engine, ideally Firefox/Gecko
• Comfort working in the open: public bugs, code review, and upstream landing
• Solid Javascript and applying that language skill to write automated tests
• Proficiency in and experience developing software in C++
• Familiarity with web standards and Web Platform Tests

Preferred

• Prior contributions to Gecko or another major browser engine
