Forward Deployed Product Manager

Exa as a Forward Deployed Product Manager, where you'll spend the majority of your time in the field engaging with customers and connecting their technical requirements to our product offerings. You'll work directly with a range of customers, from fast-moving startups to large enterprises, to identify use cases and drive long-term usage and expansion. You'll also help our sales team define tailored solutions, assist with pricing, and act as a trusted technical advisor to customers.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the sales team to define and propose tailored solutions and proof-of-value demos.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers, interfacing with executive audience members and engineers.

Requirements

• This role requires 2-8+ years of product management experience, a strong technical background, and the ability to communicate complex concepts to various audiences.
• Engage directly with customers to identify use cases and convert interest into long-term usage.
• 2-8+ years of product management experience building technical or developer-facing products

Focus on driving outcomes, not just technical milestones

• Ability to navigate complex customer/technical scenarios and come up with creative solutions
• Ability to communicate highly technical concepts to all kinds of audiences including the latest AI developments
• Strong technical background - CS/EE degree, production engineering experience, or equivalent depth earned on the job

• Preferred: Early startup or founding experience + technical PM experience
