Security Software Engineer

Join Exa as a Security Software Engineer, where you will be responsible for building and maintaining the security infrastructure for all of Exa's systems. You will work on projects such as creating a secrets management and rotation system, monitoring and alerting for anomalous behavior, and developing security incident response playbooks. You should have experience with compliance efforts, secure infrastructure, secrets management, and cloud security fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Construire un système de gestion et de rotation des secrets utilisé dans des services distribués, des travaux d'entraînement et des clusters GPU.
• Mettre en place une surveillance et une alerte pour un comportement anormal à travers les API, les services internes et l'utilisation des clients.
• Créer des plans de réponse aux incidents de sécurité et diriger la gestion des incidents, de la détection à l'analyse post-mortem.
• You have owned compliance efforts such as HIPPA, SOC2, etc

Requirements

• You are super vigilant about vulnerabilities, potential attacks, and abuse, and constantly think about how to operate securely with the introduction of new technologies (OS-level, AI coding agents, etc.)
• You have hands-on experience in building and maintaining secure infrastructure
• You are fluent in secrets management, key management, and certificate lifecycles (rotation, revocation, automation)
• You are comfortable with security hardening and any other details needed to make engineering systems run smoothly (VPN, development servers, etc.)
• You know your way around cloud security fundamentals, including multi-account AWS permissions and architectures, IAM design, secure CI/CD pipelines
