Join our team as a Staff Electrical Engineer specializing in low voltage systems for high-density AI infrastructure. You will own electrical design standards and reference architectures, lead design from transformer secondary through switchgear, UPS systems, distribution equipment, and rack-level power delivery. You will also develop architectures for 480V and 415V AC systems, define requirements for various electrical equipment, and coordinate electrical requirements across multiple systems.
Responsibilities
- Own electrical design standards and reference architectures for low-voltage systems supporting high-density AI infrastructure.
- Lead design from transformer secondary through switchgear, UPS systems, distribution equipment, busway, and rack-level power delivery.
- Develop architectures for 480V and 415V, AC systems serving GPU clusters and supporting infrastructure.
- Can develop and review single-line diagrams, equipment specifications, coordination studies, and commissioning documentation
- Understand redundancy models such as N, N+1, 2N, distributed redundant, and catcher architectures
Requirements
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent practical experience
- Understand low-voltage distribution, UPS topologies, switchgear, busway, grounding, rack-level distribution, and electrical monitoring
- Have experience with ETAP, SKM, EasyPower, or comparable electrical analysis software
- Have experience designing low-voltage electrical systems for data centers, mission-critical facilities, or large industrial environments
- Understand applicable electrical and safety requirements, including NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE, and NETA standards
- Can translate IT equipment requirements into safe, scalable, and maintainable facility designs
- Communicate clearly across engineering, construction, operations, vendors, and executive stakeholders
Professional Engineer licensure or progress toward licensure
- Experience with PSCAD, other EMT simulation tools or System Stability Analysis
- Experience in Low Voltage (400, 800V DC) Converters, distribution and protection devices
- Familiarity with dynamic GPU loads, power transients, harmonics, rack-level monitoring, or power-capacity optimization
- Experience delivering power to high-density GPU racks or liquid-cooled computing infrastructure
- Experience with hyperscale, colocation, HPC, or AI data centers
Preferred
- Experience supporting factory acceptance testing, commissioning, integrated systems testing, or failure investigations
Pay
USD 349,000 - 465,000
Benefits
- This position offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, 401k match, flexible PTO, and paid parental, medical, and caregiver leave.
