Join our team as a QA Automation Engineer, where you'll have the opportunity to design and build our automated end-to-end testing practice from the ground up. You'll work closely with Product and Engineering to ensure our products are reliable, scalable, and deliver an exceptional customer experience. This role offers real latitude in defining testing requirements and strategies, and you'll have the chance to mentor and train other engineers in testing practices.

Responsibilities

  • Développer et exécuter des suites de tests automatisés fonctionnels, de régression, d'intégration et de bout en bout, et mettre en œuvre les parties automatisées des plans de test que vous définissez.
  • Mentorer et former les ingénieurs sur l'écriture, la maintenance et l'extension des tests automatisés, en construisant la capacité de test au sein de l'équipe.
  • Experience designing an automated testing practice from scratch — not just extending one that already exists
  • Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar)
  • Experience mentoring or upskilling other engineers in testing practices

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, including 3+ years focused on test automation
  • Experience testing REST APIs (Postman or similar)
  • Experience in testing web applications, APIs, mobile apps and backend services
  • Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile practices

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills; excellent communication

  • Comfort partnering with Product Managers who rely on you to help surface testing needs and edge cases
  • Proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript; Ruby experience is a plus given our Rails services
  • Experience with EV charging, OCPP, or similar device-communication protocols
  • Experience with IoT, connected devices, or hardware-interfacing software — this is the environment you'd be working in day to day, though not a requirement
  • Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Performance or load testing experience
