Join our Group Finance team in London as a Finance Assistant. In this hands-on role, you will be involved in the month-end close process, manage white-label commissions, contribute to management accounts, and analyze performance metrics. You will also be responsible for bank postings, automating manual processes, and collaborating with various finance teams. This position offers opportunities for growth and development in the finance field.

This role suits someone with solid finance experience who is studying for ACCA (or is ready to start) and wants a role that grows with them as they progress

Responsibilities

  • Participer activement à la clôture de fin de mois pour plusieurs sociétés du groupe, en étant responsable du processus des commissions mensuelles.
  • Automatiser les processus manuels et répétitifs en utilisant NetSuite, Excel et des outils d'IA, et documenter le nouveau processus.
  • Collaborer avec les équipes de comptabilité fournisseurs et clients pour maintenir l'exactitude des livres.
  • A confident communicator who can chase information and explain numbers clearly to non-finance colleagues
  • Working knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping, journals, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations, plus some exposure to month-end close or management accounts
  • Keen to learn and develop and motivated to complete your ACCA

Requirements

  • A driver of change: when a task is repetitive, you see it as something to fix and follow it
  • Accurate and organised, comfortable working to tight month-end deadlines and prioritising your own workload in a fast-paced environment
  • Curious and analytical: you want to understand why a number has moved, not just that it
  • Strong Excel skills: pivot tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS and handling large data
  • Committed to completing the ACCA
  • At least 2 years' experience in a finance or accounts role, ideally in financial services, payments or fintech
  • Studying towards, or part-qualified in, ACCA or
  • Exposure to multi-entity or multi-currency accounting, intercompany or commission

Preferred

  • A track record of improving or automating a finance process, such as building templates, using Power Query or macros, or setting up system rules
  • Experience using AI tools to speed up or improve finance
  • Experience with NetSuite or a similar cloud
