Senior Engineering Manager

As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will lead and grow a team while staying hands-on and contributing to our products. You will shape technical architecture, hire and develop strong engineers, and work closely with product and the wider business to deliver what our clients need.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor engineers, helping them grow and contributing to clearer career paths across engineering.
• Shape technical architecture and key decisions with the CTO and other engineering leaders.

Requirements

• Broad technical knowledge across the stack, with deep expertise in at least one area
• Clear, confident communication and the ability to influence at all levels
• Hands-on technical ability, with recent experience writing production code
• Extensive software engineering experience, including a proven track record of leading engineering teams
• Experience using AI coding tools, and a view on how they change the way teams work
• Fluent written and spoken English
• Strong system design and architecture skills
• A track record of coaching, mentoring and growing engineers

Preferred

• Experience building for enterprise clients, ideally in regulated industries
• Experience leading remote or distributed teams
• Experience designing career frameworks or engineering levels
