Responsibilities

• Engineer resilient, low-latency interconnection architectures—including VPC/VNet peering, Transit Gateways, Cloud Interconnects, Direct Connect, ExpressRoute, and software-defined overlay networks.
• Architect and support complex networking layers for containerized workloads, Kubernetes clusters (EKS, GKE, AKS), ingress/egress controllers, and cloud service meshes.
• Design and maintain robust cloud network security perimeters, implementing Cloud Firewalls, Security Groups, Web Application Firewalls (WAF), DDoS mitigation, and Zero-Trust network access models.
• Serve as the top-tier escalation authority for cloud network incidents, troubleshooting latency, packet loss, and routing issues while driving permanent architectural fixes.
• Design multi-region cloud failover strategies, ensuring data protection, continuous availability, and resilience against outages and cyber threats.
• Produce reference architectures, automated runbooks, and cloud connectivity standards to ensure seamless knowledge transfer and high operational continuity.
• Lead, train, and mentor junior and senior network engineers in cloud-native networking practices, automation, and modern infrastructure methodologies.
• Deep expertise in hybrid networking technologies, IPSEC VPN, BGP routing, NAT, Load Balancing (L4/L7), and cloud edge security.

Requirements

• Lead the transition toward automated network provisioning and configuration management using Terraform, Ansible, Python, and cloud-native orchestration tools.
• Possess extensive hands-on engineering and architectural experience deploying and troubleshooting complex network topologies on public clouds such as Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Alibaba Cloud.
• Proven working experience with virtualization, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud-native networking protocols (CNI, Service Mesh, SDN).
• Exceptional proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation workflows using Terraform, Ansible, Python, or CI/CD pipelines to manage cloud infrastructure at scale.
• Strong background in enterprise networking protocols and hardware platforms (switches, routers, firewalls) to ensure seamless integration between on-premise Core networks and Cloud environments.
• Self-motivated technical leader with strong multitasking abilities, a collaborative team-player mindset, and the capability to communicate complex technical concepts to all levels of users and executives.
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; Bahasa Malaysia or additional languages is an added advantage.
• Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent, with 9+ years of solid working experience in Networking Engineering, with at least 4+ years specifically dedicated to Cloud Networking and Architecture .
