Software Engineer (Banking)

OnePay, a leading fintech company, as a Software Engineer on the Banking team. Your work will directly impact how people access, move, and manage their money.

Responsibilities

• You will lead the technical design and delivery of banking features, set architectural standards, mentor and grow engineers, and partner closely with product, design, risk, and compliance teams.
• You will work with modern technologies such as Typescript, Node.js, NestJS, React Native, Kubernetes, and AWS.
• Lead the technical design and delivery of banking features that scale with the growing customer base and support a seamless mobile experience.
• Set architectural standards and best practices for code quality, performance, security, and reliability across banking services.
• Mentor and grow engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and hands-on collaboration on tough problems.
• Drive and proactivity - everyone here is a builder and executor

Requirements

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a track record of mentoring engineers and driving technical decisions across teams
• Proven success designing, building, and scaling production-grade APIs and distributed systems, ideally in banking, payments, or other regulated financial services
• Experience with sensitive financial data and money movement systems, such as ledgers, account management, ACH, or card processing
• Proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript or similar modern backend frameworks, and familiarity with microservices, Kubernetes, and AWS
• 7+ years of professional experience in backend or full-stack software engineering, including technical leadership of projects or teams

Preferred

• Experience with mobile or user-facing applications, ideally React Native, is a plus

Pay

USD 150,000 - 220,000
