Responsibilities

• Build AI-powered solutions: Design, develop and deliver full-stack applications and services that support AI capabilities across Objective's product suites.
• Develop across the stack: Build robust backend services using Python and intuitive frontend experiences using Svelte and modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Work with emerging AI technologies: Contribute to the integration of AI frameworks, large language models (LLMs) and intelligent features into production applications.
• Engineer for scale: Design and develop secure, reliable and scalable solutions using cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
• Own technical challenges: Take ownership of complex engineering problems, from solution design and development through to testing, deployment and ongoing improvement.
• Champion engineering excellence: Write clean, maintainable and well-tested code, contribute to code reviews and promote modern software engineering practices.
• Collaborate and innovate: Work alongside engineers, product teams and technical leaders to explore new technologies, solve complex challenges and deliver high-impact solutions.
• Share your expertise: Contribute to technical discussions, influence engineering decisions and support the development of other engineers.
• Influence solution design, engineering practices and technical decisions.
• Expand your expertise in Python, cloud engineering and AI-powered software development.

Requirements

• Strong commercial software development experience, with a focus on Python or Java fullstack development.
• Experience with JavaScript and modern frontend frameworks such as Svelte, React or similar.
• Solid understanding of database design, development and programming.
• Experience developing, deploying and maintaining applications in AWS and/or Azure.
• Strong understanding of API development, microservices and modern software architecture.
• Experience with unit testing, automated testing and writing clean, maintainable code.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerisation and modern development practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills, technical curiosity and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
• Experience integrating LLMs into applications, including tools such as LiteLLM.
• Exposure to AI infrastructure, model integration and the development of reusable AI services.
• An interest in applying emerging AI technologies to solve real-world business challenges.
