as a Senior Controller in Amsterdam. You will be responsible for the accurate and timely financial reporting of specific entities, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and local GAAP. You will coordinate the month-end closing process, review and approve monthly reconciliations, and collaborate closely with senior stakeholders across the business. This role requires extensive experience in fixed assets, lease accounting, and cloud computing arrangements, as well as strong hands-on knowledge of the SAP FA module.

Responsibilities

  • Assumer la responsabilité complète de la comptabilité d'un ensemble défini d'entités, en conformité avec les normes US GAAP et locales.
  • Coordonner le processus de clôture mensuelle pour les domaines sous votre responsabilité et assurer le respect des délais.
  • Collaborer étroitement avec les parties prenantes senior au sein de l'entreprise et au sein des finances, et être le principal point de contact pour la fonction de reporting du groupe.

Requirements

Strong communication and stakeholder-facing skills are essential

  • 10+ years experience in finance and/or accounting preferably within a multinational company
  • University (Accounting, Business, Economic) degree and/or post-graduate education (CPA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Solid knowledge of US GAAP and SOx, with hands-on experience across the technical accounting areas relevant to this role - Fixed Assets, Lease Accounting, Internally Developed Software, and Cloud Computing Arrangements
  • Proven experience providing technical coaching and on-the-job training to accounting teams and operational colleagues
  • High levels of personal effectiveness, particularly communication, organization and the ability to plan and prioritize
  • Enthusiasm to work in a fast paced, highly diverse, continuous developing and informal high achieving environment
  • Proven ability and credibility to persuade and influence in effecting changes within an organization
  • Strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder management
  • Proactive self-starter, who takes ownership with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work independently, self-motivated and disciplined
  • Fluent in spoken and written English

Preferred

  • Strong hands-on experience with SAP FA (FI-AA / Asset Accounting) module - asset master data, AUC transitions, depreciation runs, retirement, transfers, useful-life changes; broader SAP S/4 experience is a plus
