Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Join Glean as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, where you'll play a crucial role in enhancing the reliability, scalability, and operational excellence of our production services. In this hands-on position, you'll design, build, and operate resilient cloud infrastructure, improve service reliability, and help teams respond to production issues. You'll also contribute technical expertise to system and architectural decisions, ensuring the delivery of dependable systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate resilient cloud infrastructure; improve service reliability against meaningful SLOs.
• Contribute technical expertise to system and architectural decisions and partner with engineers across the organization to deliver dependable systems.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts, tools, and processes to streamline system deployment, monitoring, and management tasks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Practical experience with containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes. Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform is essential
• 3+ years of experience leading projects and designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting distributed systems running in Cloud
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure
• 5+ years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages
• Proficiency in using monitoring and alerting tools to detect and respond to potential issues effectively
• 5+ years of experience in a senior-level role within Site Reliability Engineering or similar role, particularly in managing cloud-based services and infrastructure
• Solid understanding of networking, security principles, and best SRE and security practices
