Responsibilities

  • MIG Welding: Perform MIG welding on mild steel, working with materials ranging from 20 gauge to 1-inch thickness.
  • Produce accurate, durable components following detailed work instructions and specifications.
  • Standard Iron supports you in achieving certifications relevant to your role, such as D1.1 GMAW and D1.3 GMAW.
  • Interpret welding symbols and blueprints to ensure accurate setups and welds.
  • Utilize a variety of metal finishing tools, including grinders and abrasives, to meet our high standards.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of one year of MIG welding experience, preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, steady hand, and a true passion for quality welding work.
  • Ability to handle repetitive tasks, including standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Safe Equipment Operation

Operate lifting devices such as cranes, positioners, magnets, and hooks efficiently, following all safety protocols.

Schedule

Both Shifts Available: 1st Shift - Mon - Thurs. 6:00am - 4:40pm 2 nd Shift – Mon – Weds 4:30pm – 5:00am ( Employees work three 12-hour shifts (36 hours) and are compensated for a full 40-hour workweek) Weekend Shift – Friday, Saturday, Sunday; 6:00am – 6:30pm Compensation and Benefits: Competitive Pay: Earn between $23 - $28+ based on experience and skills. 2,500 sign-on bonus for 1st shift Welders and Machine Operators $3,000 sign-on bonus for 2 nd and weekend shifts Welders and Machine Operators.
