Parking Attendant

Responsibilities

• The Patient Assisted Parking Attendant will assist patients and visitors with vehicle drop-off, parking, retrieval, and pickup services at the Samuel S. Stratton VA Medical Center in Albany, NY.
• The attendant will provide safe, courteous, and efficient parking assistance while ensuring patient wait times remain within required service standards.
• Safely receive, park, retrieve, and return patient and visitor vehicles. • Assist patients and visitors at the designated drop-off and pickup area. • Secure vehicle keys, maintain vehicle tracking/claim-check records, and coordinate with other attendants. • Complete required daily logs and promptly report accidents, damage, safety concerns, or other incidents.

Requirements

• Valid U.S. driver’s license with at least 2 years of driving experience. • At least 6 months of patient assisted/valet parking experience in a healthcare environment. • Must be a U.S. citizen and fluent in English. • Must successfully complete required VA background screening, fingerprinting, orientation, and training.

Schedule

Full-time position, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, excluding Federal holidays. Approximately 40 hours per week. Continuous coverage is required during operating hours.
