Scrum Master (Software Delivery)

Join Butterfly Network as a Scrum Master for Software Delivery. In this role, you will facilitate and improve Agile execution across our Mobile and Cloud software teams. You will be responsible for sprint-cycle health, ceremony effectiveness, and delivery-metric visibility. You will work closely with Engineering, Product, and Program Management to ensure effective ceremonies, early risk identification, and sustainable Agile practices. Responsibilities

• Facilitate and continuously improve Agile execution across Mobile and Cloud software teams, ensuring sprint-cycle health and ceremony effectiveness.
• Coach teams on Agile and Scrum best practices, identifying and closing gaps in ceremony effectiveness, backlog health, and delivery hygiene.
• Own and report sprint-level delivery metrics, maintaining a live view of cross-team dependencies and blockers, and escalating issues as necessary.

Requirements

• Experience working in or around regulated or governance-heavy environments (medical device, healthtech, fintech, or similar) and a working understanding of how SDLC and design-control requirements intersect with sprint execution
• Able to operate across two distinct organizations with different levels of process maturity without forcing a premature one-size-fits-all rollout
• Fluent in sprint and delivery data, comfortable building and maintaining dashboards (Jira, Smartsheet, or equivalent) that give Engineering and Program Management real-time visibility into delivery health"
• Comfortable coaching engineers, tech leads, and Product Owners without direct authority; a genuine servant-leadership orientation, not a command-and-control facilitation style
• Excellent facilitation and communication skills; able to run effective ceremonies for teams at different maturity levels and translate delivery signals into clear updates for Program Management and Engineering leadership
• Deep, hands-on fluency in Scrum ceremonies, backlog refinement, and delivery metrics (velocity, burndown, sprint health) using Jira or an equivalent tool
• 5+ years directly facilitating Agile/Scrum delivery inside a software engineering organization, ideally spanning both mobile and cloud/platform teams
• A demonstrated track record standing up or maturing Agile practice in an organization with inconsistent or newly formed process, not only running ceremonies in an already-mature shop
• Prior exposure to SDLC or design-control documentation requirements in a regulated software environment

Preferred

• A formal Agile certification (CSM, CSPO, PMI-ACP, or equivalent)
• Experience in a growth-stage or scaling engineering organization where Agile practice was actively being defined rather than inherited fully formed
• Experience operating in a matrixed model, coaching Agile practice without reporting into the Program Management function
