Senior Software Engineering Manager (Authoring & Apps)

Join Tulip, a leading no-code app platform, as a Senior Software Engineering Lead. In this role, you will own the authoring experience and runtime for Tulip Apps, as well as the backend services and integrations behind Tulip's Agentic AI chat experience. You will collaborate closely with product and design, set technical direction, maintain operational health, and cultivate an AI-first development culture. Additionally, you will hire, mentor, and grow a high-performing team, establish engineering standards, and have a direct impact on product and culture.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• You possess strong technical acumen, people management skills, and a deep understanding of product business value
• With years of experience building and delivering web-enabled SaaS products, you're passionate about mentoring engineers
• 3+ years in people management leading a software team, with experience hiring, mentoring, and creating career opportunities for your team
• Hands-on experience with cross-functional team leadership with technical and customer-facing feature delivery
• Familiarity with our tech stack - including Typescript, React, Redux, Node.js, Golang, MongoDB, Postgres, and Docker
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent working experience
• Experience architecting systems that integrate agentic and generative AI capabilities
• 7+ years of SaaS software engineering experience, ideally in contemporary tech stacks, with direct involvement in complex and stable backend infrastructure
• Strong understanding of testing and deploying systems in multicloud / multitenant environments
