Hardware Support & Test Intern

Join our hardware engineering team as a Hardware Support & Test Intern. You will troubleshoot field units, support testing of prototypes, and work closely with the engineering team to determine root causes and corrective actions. This internship offers ample opportunities for challenge and growth, and requires being on-site in our San Francisco office starting in Fall 2026.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot issues seen in the field by customers, analyze data from units, and work with the engineering team to determine root causes.
• Support product development teams with prototyping and testing, and build software and AI tools to facilitate diagnosis of hardware failures.
• Collaborate with a small, mission-driven team to work on novel hardware products and contribute to the growth of the company.

Requirements

• Familiarity with interpreting data and sensor readings

Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, and software systems to understand possible causes of failures
• Pursuing or recently completed a BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
• Familiarity with root cause analysis, DOE, and quality measuring techniques
