Hardware Prototype & Test Engineer

In this role, you will prototype and test complex electromechanical systems, build prototypes using various techniques, design and run experiments to validate performance, and collaborate with engineering teams. Prototype and test complex electromechanical systems, including sensors, pumps, mechanisms, and electronics.

Responsibilities

• Build prototypes using techniques like 3D printing, machining, and quick turn tooling with in-house tools and external suppliers.
• Design and run experiments to validate the performance of new designs, as well as track and analyze results.
• Experience using and maintaining basic shop tools like 3D printers, band saw, milling machine

Requirements

• BS in engineering or equivalent. MS preferred
• Proficiency with 3D modeling (eg. Solidworks, ProEngineer, etc.)

Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Experience working in a fast-paced, startup environment from concept to production
• Ability to occasionally lift or push up to 50 lbs as needed
• 1-3 years of hands-on prototyping and test experience with electromechanical systems
