Senior Software Engineer (Trust)

Responsibilities

• Take significant end-to-end ownership of developing applications, from idea to execution.
• Design, build, and launch new products in collaboration with customers, engineers, and leaders.
• Build scalable APIs and asynchronous event-based architecture that can reliably handle high traffic.

Requirements

• BS/MS degree in either computer science or an engineering discipline
• Experimentation mindset: autonomy and empowerment to validate a customer need, get team buy-in, and ship a rapid MVP
• Advanced knowledge in Ruby (Rails), Javascript (React), or similar languages/frameworks
• Have founded or held early roles at successful fast-paced startups
• An A-player mindset with a strong bias for action: you raise the bar, move with urgency, stay resilient through ambiguity, and take ownership to deliver meaningful outcomes
• Comfortability working with AI tools day-to-day, and the ability to build simple AI-powered tools or workflows that boost team or org productivity
• Early-stage approach: comfort with ambiguity, balancing speed and perfection, and the confidence and curiosity to help guide product direction
• 5+ years of full stack software development experience
• Experience building scalable technical architecture that can scale to 10mm+ users (including observability tooling, container orchestration, etc)
• Expertise in data analysis and processing
• Background in trust & safety, IDV, background check products or criminal data

Preferred

• Experience building and working with scrapers and scraping technology
