Responsibilities

• Improve how the team builds, tests, deploys, and operates software, leading the migrations needed to get there.
• Drive operational excellence: Improve observability, incident response, and operational automation while eliminating sources of on-call toil.
• You have led critical infrastructure projects from architecture through production

Requirements

• Plus: Experience with parts of our stack, including AWS, MongoDB, Postgres, Redis, and Node.js
• You make thoughtful tradeoffs across reliability, developer velocity, performance, security, and cost
• You have strong product intuition and care about the developer experience created by the systems you build
• You are comfortable working across infrastructure and application code to solve problems completely
• Platform expertise: You have deep experience with cloud infrastructure, infrastructure as code, distributed systems, CI/CD, observability, and operating large-scale production software
• You have experience mentoring engineers, sharing technical knowledge, and improving practices across a team
• You have at least 4 years of professional software development experience
