Staff PCB Layout Engineer

Graphcore as a Staff PCB Layout Engineer, where you will be responsible for maintaining electronic component libraries and developing printed circuit board layouts. You will work closely with various engineering teams to ensure accuracy and consistency in component data and PCB designs.

Responsibilities

• Your tasks will include creating and verifying schematic symbols, developing PCB layouts, running design rule checks, and preparing fabrication and assembly deliverables.
• You will also coordinate with PCB fabricators and assembly suppliers, support engineering changes, and work with procurement and engineering to identify obsolete components.

Requirements

• Familiarity with signal integrity, power integrity, grounding, and EMI/EMC considerations

Proficiency in Cadence Allegro/OrCAD

• Strong attention to detail, documentation skills, and ability to manage competing priorities
• Ability to interpret schematics, component datasheets, and mechanical drawings
• College degree, technical training, or equivalent practical experience in PCB layout
• Experience with multilayer, high-density, mixed-signal, and high-speed PCB designs

Preferred

• Working knowledge of PCB fabrication, assembly processes, and design for manufacturability
• Experience with setting up PCB design and electronic component library management
• Familiarity with relevant IPC standards for PCB design and component land patterns
