Join our Engineering team as a Principal Software Development Engineer (Post Trade). In this role, you will lead the design, development, and implementation of our brokerage systems, working closely with our engineering team and other stakeholders. You will be responsible for the technical architecture, design, and delivery of high-performance, low-latency brokerage systems using Java/Golang.

Responsibilities

  • Additionally, you will provide technical leadership and mentorship to the engineering team and support applications with an understanding of system integration, test planning, scripting, and troubleshooting.
  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of brokerage systems, ensuring scalability, low latency, and high availability.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the engineering team, guiding them in best practices and innovative solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support and enhance trading and backend systems for multiple asset classes.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Jira, Git, Jenkins
  • Must understand Test Driven Development and how to write effective unit/integration tests

Strong communication skills

  • Proficient in developing and maintaining robust REST APIs and implementing sophisticated event-driven architectures with Kafka and Kubernetes
  • At least 10 years of experience in Software Engineering with expertise in Java
  • Experience with Unix, Linux Operating Systems (writing scripts to extract and transform data)
  • Experience with a 24x7, highly-available architecture
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
  • Experience with Scrum and other Agile processes

Strong understanding of CI/CD and automated testing frameworks

  • Strong experience with Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform or Microsoft Azure
  • Proficient in No SQL, SQL and Stored Procedures such as in Postgres, MySQL
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred

  • Background in financial technology or capital markets is required
  • Multiple years experience in fin-tech specifically Post Trade, Payment or SaaS
